My Story

Why I Started Soltra.

Aloha, my name is Max. I was born December 27th, 2004 in Oahu, Hawaii.

When I was 16, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer. The doctors gave her six months. She fought for four more years.

In September 2025 I moved to Austin and worked in solar. About six months later, my dad called to say her cancer had spread to her brain, so I came home. She passed away on April 11th, 2026.

I started Soltra to stay close to my family here on the island. In her honor, I donate a percent of every cleaning to the UH Cancer Research Center.
